As much as the speeches reassure on the safety of citizens in addition to the require for global security, various inferences can be deduced from them, particularly in consideration of what Osamas death means to the world. As such, Obamas message is mainly a reaffirmation of the conviction of the the Statesn government towards the fight against terrorism. Obama withal touches on the unity that guided the various parties involved in the fight against terrorism, and the American mountain at large. Nonetheless, he acknowledges the fact that th e incoming holds a lot in terms of protection against terrorism. Obama states that the war against terrorism is far from over, and there is still a need to be as watchful, for terrorism is still a threat. By saying that the cause of securing the nation is not complete, he passes on the message that the future is still gloomy in respect of the need for security against terrorism. Therefore, the presidents speech is themed more on the aspect of victory, though he also acknowledges that there is some possibility for risk.Similarly, Leon Panettas speech appreciates the efforts of the various individuals and institutions that took part in the quest to find Osama bin Laden. Panetta establishes the need to rid the world and America of Osama, and his entire al Qaeda network. Throughout this speech, allusions to any future concerns are relatively scarce, except for the appreciation of the fact that al Qaeda is not dead, and vindicatory attacks are almost certain. It can be deduced that thi s implies a more detailed system needs to be put in place to eliminate, or at least reduce this possibility in the event of any future attack.
